The SM Matters of the Heart Foundation, embodying this ethos, launched the Spreading Love Outreach Program in the first quarter of 2024 with a powerful theme: “Spreading Love, the move to make an impact.” This initiative aimed to touch the lives of those facing adversity with gestures of generosity and solidarity.

Initiative Overview:

Spreading Love is the flagship program of the SM Matters of the Heart Foundation, aligning with three out of the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals as a global call to action to end poverty. The program’s hypothesis centered on heartfelt gestures of support for widowed mothers, symbolizing the resilience and strength of single-parent households.

Program Highlights

Among the beneficiaries were three widowed mothers from Ayikumah, a suburb of the Greater Accra region, who received significant support. One was relocated from a dilapidated room to a newly constructed studio apartment, while all three received business startup support and cash donations to begin trading.

The program also extended its support to the “More Hope for the Disabled Foundation,” a disabled organization with approximately seventy members. Resources were provided for career development workshops and contingency funds to empower members.

Additionally, homeless children were provided with essential supplies, educational resources, recreational activities, and food, emphasizing the transformative power of love and solidarity in uplifting the most vulnerable members of society.
